About the operator

Kajie Safaris is a Uganda-based tour operator headquartered in Kampala, specializing in wildlife, gorilla trekking, and primate-focused safaris across Uganda and the wider East African region. The company focuses on immersive nature experiences, combining classic wildlife game drives with gorilla and chimpanzee tracking in some of East Africa’s most biodiverse national parks.

Their core safari programs are centered around Uganda’s premier destinations, including Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, and Lake Mburo. Many of their itineraries are designed as multi-day primate and wildlife safaris that start and end in Entebbe, integrating gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, boat cruises, and guided game drives into a single journey.

Kajie Safaris primarily offers tailor-made and private safaris, supported by English-speaking driver-guides, private safari vehicles, and customized itineraries based on traveler interests, budget, and duration. The company also organizes family tours, group safaris, cultural experiences, and city tours within Uganda.

While Uganda remains their main operational focus, Kajie Safaris also arranges multi-country itineraries across East Africa, including Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania, particularly for combined gorilla, wildlife, and cultural travel experiences. Their travel philosophy emphasizes authentic experiences, close wildlife encounters, and personalized service, positioning the company as a primate and wildlife specialist within the Uganda safari market.

Incredible and highly recomended

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Kajie Safaris — from the very first email to the full planning process, everything was smooth, professional, and exceeded our expectations. During the trip itself, everything ran perfectly, and it was clear how carefully every detail had been thought through.

We came for the animals, we left with memories for life

We booked a private safari in Uganda with this agency and it exceeded every expectation. Our guide Eddie was absolutely outstanding — friendly, incredibly safe behind the wheel, and with an eagle eye for spotting wildlife we would have never noticed on our own.

A perfectly organized, dreamlike trip through Uganda

We had the most wonderful honeymoon in Uganda, made possible by Kajie Safaris. Ronald and the team organized our 11-day journey, including Mabamba Swamp near Entebbe, Lake Mburo National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, and Ziwa Rhino Reserve.

Truely Amazing 11-day Safari with Eddie

Our 11-day safari took us from the Mabamba Swamps near Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, and via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary back to Entebbe. Throughout the trip we were constantly amazed by the incredible variety of wildlife and the breathtaking landscapes Uganda has to offer.

A superb safari

My husband and I went on a long 16-day safari with Kajie. Having often organized trips with local receptives in many countries, I want to highlight the quality and reliability of Kajie’s service.
