Nairobi → Meru. Travel & distance: Approx. 6–7 hours’ drive (310–350 km) depending on route and stops. Early morning departure from Nairobi after breakfast. Morning: Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 7.00am. Scenic drive north-east across agricultural highlands. Afternoon: Arrive Meru for lunch at your camp. Check-in and short rest. Afternoon/evening gamedrive. Briefing with your guide for the days ahead. Evening: Dinner and overnight rest. Notes: Meru offers lush riverine forests and productive wildlife areas, excellent birding and a quieter alternative to the busier parks.
