About this tour

This 8-night Laikipia horseback safari offers a unique way to explore one of Kenya’s most diverse and private wildlife regions. Riding across Borana Conservancy, Lolldaiga Ranch, and El Karama, the journey combines long-distance horseback safaris with exceptional wildlife encounters, scenic landscapes, and exclusive camps. From riding alongside rhino on Borana to crossing valleys, rivers, and escarpments in Lolldaiga, each day brings a new perspective of Laikipia’s varied terrain. The itinerary blends horseback riding with game drives and optional walking safaris, allowing for both close wildlife encounters and excellent photographic opportunities. With sightings of elephant, buffalo, big cats, and rare species such as Grevy’s zebra, along with visits to private conservancies and local ranches, this safari is ideal for riders looking for a more remote and authentic Kenyan safari experience beyond the Masai Mara.
