The adventure begins in Arusha with a drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic reserve set beneath the towering Rift Valley escarpment. Here, guests explore diverse habitats filled with flamingos, hippos, elephants, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Evenings are spent at a campsite, enjoying simple meals and the atmosphere of the African wilderness. On the second day, travelers journey to the Ngorongoro highlands, setting up camp on the crater rim with panoramic views of the world’s largest intact caldera. The third day features a full descent into the crater floor for an exceptional game drive among dense wildlife populations, including lions, buffalo, zebras, and possibly the rare black rhino. Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park: At 8:30 AM you will be greeted by your guide and after an approximately 2-hour drive you will reach to the Lake Manyara National Park. It is said to be the “loveliest (lake) … in Africa,” Lake Manyara is covering 127 square miles (329 km2) of Lake Manyara National Park, the lake’s alkaline waters cover approximately 89 square miles (231 km2). It is famous for a good number of baboons and birdlife, also home to herbivores such as hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs, and giraffes, giant fig trees and mahogany seen in the groundwater forest immediately around the park gates, and then proceeds to campsite to stay overnight.
